Understanding Each Limit

Render Minutes

The total duration of video you can produce each month, measured in minutes of output video. A completed 90-second render = 1.5 render minutes consumed.

Failed or cancelled jobs do not count against your limit. Full details →

Daily Render Cap (Free only)

Free-plan accounts have an additional cap of 5 render minutes per day, resetting at midnight UTC. This prevents automated abuse while still giving developers meaningful testing bandwidth.

Max Job Duration

The maximum total duration of a single render job's output video. Attempting to submit a movie whose total scene duration exceeds this limit returns a 400 error.

  • Free / Pro: 10 minutes maximum per job
  • Business: 20 minutes maximum per job
  • Enterprise: 120 minutes maximum per job (longer limits available on request)

Max Resolution

The maximum canvas dimensions for a render job.

PlanMax ResolutionNotes
Free1280 × 720Ideal for drafts and demos
Pro1920 × 1080Full 1080p — suitable for YouTube, LinkedIn
Business2560 × 14401440p — suitable for high-quality YouTube
Enterprise3840 × 21604K UHD — suitable for professional production

Submitting a movie with width × height exceeding your plan limit returns a 400 PLAN_RESOLUTION_EXCEEDED error.

Output Formats

FormatPlansNotes
MP4AllH.264 codec. Universal playback. Recommended for all platforms.
WebMPro+VP9 codec. Better compression for web delivery.
MOVBusiness+ProRes-compatible container. Suitable for post-production workflows.
GIFEnterpriseAnimated GIF. Max recommended resolution: 720p. Large file sizes.

Concurrent Render Jobs

The maximum number of render jobs that can be in running state simultaneously on your account.

PlanConcurrent JobsPractical meaning
Free1One video renders at a time
Pro3Three independent videos in parallel
Business6Six independent videos in parallel
EnterpriseUnlimitedBurst capacity based on infrastructure

Note: this limit applies to parent render jobs. Each parent job internally uses multiple scene workers — that parallelism is controlled by the qualityPreset option and does not count against your concurrent job limit.

API Access

Free-plan users can only trigger renders through the visual editor in the dashboard. To submit render jobs programmatically via POST /v1/render/jobs, you need at minimum a Pro plan.

Storage

Cumulative storage of your uploaded media assets (images, video footage, audio) in ViralSync's asset library. Render outputs (the final MP4 files) are not counted toward your storage quota — they are stored in Cloudflare R2 and available via the outputUrl in the job response.

Agent Assignments

The number of AI agent configurations you can have active simultaneously. Agents are used for long-form video generation workflows.

Overages (Pro & Business)

When you exceed your monthly render minute allocation:

  • Free: Jobs are immediately rejected. Upgrade or wait until the 1st of next month.
  • Pro / Business: Jobs continue to run. Additional render minutes are billed at $0.05 per render minute at the end of your billing cycle.

You can set a monthly overage cap in Dashboard → Billing → Overage Limit to prevent unexpected charges.

Example: Your Pro plan includes 200 render minutes. You use 240 minutes in a month.
Overage: 40 min × $0.05 = $2.00 added to your next invoice.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I upgrade mid-month?
Yes. Your plan upgrades immediately and your render minute limit updates instantly. You are billed a prorated amount for the remainder of the month.

What happens to my videos if I downgrade?
Your existing videos and projects remain accessible. The lower plan limits apply to new renders from the downgrade date. If you are over the storage limit of the new plan, you will need to delete assets before uploading new ones.

Is there an annual discount?
Yes — annual billing saves 20% compared to monthly. Available on Pro and Business plans. Contact sales for Enterprise annual pricing.

Can I get a higher max job duration without upgrading to Enterprise?
Not currently. The per-job duration limit is tied to the plan tier. For use cases requiring jobs longer than 20 minutes, Enterprise is the appropriate tier.

Do render minutes roll over?
No. Unused render minutes expire at the end of each billing cycle.

Is there a free trial of Pro?
Yes — new accounts receive a 14-day Pro trial automatically on signup.
